AutoHarvest Foundation Update - November 2013

The AutoHarvest ecosystem is increasingly energized by our members and users searching, discovering, connecting and transacting intellectual property solutions for advanced manufacturing technologies. Our community is enlarging as economic planners contemplate how to add “jet fuel” to their Innovation Districts. Having conducted a workshop at the International Economic Development Council Annual meeting and attended the first ever Select USA Summit, it is evident EDA professionals are turning to new tools, like AutoHarvest, to energize their communities with high tech companies.

As previously announced, through our partnership with Omni-Text our public facing website is now in 5 languages: Chinese, English, French, German and Italian. This multilingual platform brings us one-click-closer ™ to helping our members find synergy and accelerate the adoption of innovation around the globe.

The virtual world goes further, as we feature a new prototyping system, by the University of Michigan, which enables researchers to interconnect and test physical and virtual prototypes. The Xiphias Concept is a Lehigh University effort to predict the evolution of automobiles in both their technical and creative elements. GYATK is pioneering a new basis for internal combustion engines and we welcome leading patent support firm Landon IP.

The member driven Innovation Hub continues to expand its array of smart tools to help innovators and commercializers bring new products to market. Deeper market research and verification of imports of goods covered under license agreements are assisted by our latest Innovation Hub member, Datamyne. Datamyne offers online access to the world’s largest searchable database covering the import-export trade of some 50 countries, including US trade with the world. For thought provoking perspectives, articles from TekCapital, IM and IAM offer compelling reads about commercialization, shareholder value and corporate innovation DNA.

We are excited to participate in manufacturing events sponsored by SME (the Society of Manufacturing Engineers) M-Day and SME Technology Interface featuring NASA both hosted in Detroit. We are also proud to support the IAM Global Business IP Congress slated for Amsterdam this spring.
